A look at the progress on the new CMH terminal

Ever wondered what the new terminal construction is looking like? Here’s a look from the air and from the inside.

The aerial shot shows the full (almost) footprint: the new terminal building, the two-level roadway taking shape out front for arrivals and departures, and across the road, the new 5,000-space parking garage and rental car center that will connect to the terminal by a pedestrian bridge.

Inside, the second photo is taken from where the security checkpoint will be, looking toward what will become Central Market — the heart of the terminal, with concessions, seating, and a soaring skylight (that’s the opening visible in the roof). From there, the concourse branches toward the gates. The third photo shows one of them stretching out, and the last gives you a sense of the scale and the work underway right now.
